About.Mailand Music Academy is a music education initiative created by pianist, composer, and music educator, Randall Mailand. We offer piano lessons, voice lessons, drum lessons, as well as group lessons in each of those instruments, and choir group lessons. We also offer individual lessons for the specific musical skill you are looking for. This includes theory, composition, improvisation.

Randall Mailand
Owner, founder, Teacher
Randall began his music career studying under various piano teachers at a young age. Both of his parents are professional musicians and helped him cultivate his craft. He studied 3 years of jazz and classical piano at VCU and received his music education degree with a focus in Choral Education. He previously taught PreK-8th grade as the music teacher and choral director at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. He has been teaching private piano, drum, theory, jazz, and vocal lessons for the past 10 years. He is a sideman, band leader, and jazz solo performer in the DC and Richmond area. His hopes for Mailand Music Academy is to cultivate in his students a love and ability for music.
Without his family Randall would not be able to accomplish this dream. His wife supports him as well as works on the nuts and bolts of running a business. This is a family run business that seeks to serve other families through giving the gift of music.
